GENERAL KNOWLEDGE-HISTORY OF MONEY: 

                                                                  The HISTORY OF MONEY is about thousands of years old.In the beginning of man kind,people used to buy their goods without money.They used barter trade.

BARTER TRADE

 BARTER TRADE means that i could ask another person to trade 1kg of wheat for 1kg of rice.People used this trade in between 9,000 - 6,000 B.C. 
                   
       
     
 

        SHELLS

SHELLS became the first medium of exchange or money.In China at about 1200 B.C.

    COINS

COINS were first introduced  in Egypt and Lydia or today's Turkey and further improved in bronze,silver and gold by the Persian,Greek,Macedonian and Roman Empires which had a lot of value.

 

  LEATHER MONEY

 

 Leather money was  first used in China.It laid the foundation of  Paper money.


  

PAPER CURRENCY

Paper currency was actually  introduced in China.In between 900 - 1500 A.D. and then adopted by European countries.
